Perubahan Kurikulum Nasional (Kurikulum Merdeka) telah menjadi semangat tersendiri bagi guru-guru MA Negeri 2 Grobogan untuk turut serta mengulik, memahami, dan menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka. Terlebih lagi, berdasarkan Surat Keputusan Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Islam Nomor 3811 Tahun 2022, MA Negeri 2 Grobogan ditunjuk sebagai salah satu Madrasah Pelaksana Kurikulum Merdeka bersama 497 Madrasah Aliyah di seluruh Indonesia. Sebagai bentuk kesiapan MAN 2 Grobogan dalam mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka pada Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023, maka dilaksanakan kegiatan Woskshop Kurikulum Merdeka yang di ikuti oleh seluruh Guru MAN 2 Grobogan, dan guru-guru Madrasah mitra. Workshop Kurikulum Merdeka di MAN 2 Grobogan dilaksanakan pada Tanggal 19 – 22 Agustus 2022 dengan total jam pembelajaran adalah 32 JP. Narasumber yang hadir adalah Drs. Junaidi, M.Pd dan Fatma Widyastuti, S.Pd., M.Ed, keduanya adalah Widyaiswara dari Balai Diklat Keagamaan (BDK) Semarang.

Imron, S.Ag, M.Si selaku Kepala Kantor Kementerian Agama Kabupaten Grobogan dalam sambutannya memberikan apresiasi kepada MAN 2 Grobogan sebagai salah satu Madrasah Aliyah yang benar-benar telah siap dalam mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka. Penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka adalah upaya serius pemerintah dalam memperbaiki kualitas pendidikan nasional dan untuk menjawab trend pendididikan abad-21. Kegiatan Workshop ini diharapkan semua guru memahami dan menerapkan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka (IKM) sesuai juknis yang berlaku. Drs. H. Moh. Muchlis, M.PdI (Kepala Marasah) juga memberikan penekanan kepada seluruh guru yang mengikuti Workshop, agar produk kegiatan workshop adalah perangkat mengajar yang siap pakai dalam penerapan kurikulum baru. Workshop yang diselenggarakan mulai tanggal 19 – 22 agustus ini adalah kegiatan pertama dalam membekali guru dalam menerapkan kurikulum baru, insyaAllah pada akhir semester I, MAN 2 Grobogan akan melaksanakan kegiatan workshop Kurikulum Merdeka tingkat lanjut sebagai bentuk evaluasi selama satu semester berjalan, demikian yang disampaikan oleh Kepala MAN 2 Grobogan.
Materi utama yang dibahas pada kegiatan Workshop ini adalah, pengorganisasian pembelajaran pada Kurikulum Merdeka, Capaian Pembelajaran, Tujuan Pembelajaran, Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran, Modul Ajar, Assesment pada Kurikulum Merdeka, Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila, serta karakter pelajar Rahmatan lil ‘alamin.
